Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Our App ("the App"), developed by Bozhu Li ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to all apps published by Bozhu Li on the Apple App Store (collectively, "our Apps"). Where relevant, this policy covers both free and paid versions of our Apps.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the specific App and features you use, we may collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: If the App offers account registration, we may collect your email address, username, or other credentials you provide during sign-up.
- User-Generated Content: Any content you create, upload, or process within the App (such as text, images, audio, or video) is stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated. We do not access or collect user-generated content unless a specific feature requires server-side processing, in which case you will be clearly informed.
- Support Requests: If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and the content of your communication.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, language settings, and screen resolution. This information is used solely to ensure compatibility and improve user experience.
- App Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated data about how you interact with the App, such as feature usage frequency and session duration. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Crash and Diagnostic Data: Crash logs and performance diagnostics may be collected automatically to help us identify and fix bugs. This data is anonymized and does not contain personal information.
1.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services
- Advertising: If the App displays advertisements, our third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers (e.g., IDFA), IP address, and general location data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- Analytics: We may use third-party analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics) to understand App usage patterns. These services collect anonymized, aggregated data and are subject to their own privacy policies.
2. Apps That Do Not Collect Personal Data
Some of our Apps are standalone utility tools that operate entirely on your device. These Apps:
- Do not require account registration.
- Do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.
- Do not connect to any external servers (other than for ads, if applicable).
- Process all data locally on your device.
For these Apps, the only data collection that may occur is through third-party advertising SDKs (if the App is ad-supported) and Apple's built-in crash reporting. You can check each App's specific data practices on its App Store product page under the "App Privacy" section.
3. Necessary Data Collection and Feature Limitations
Certain core features of the App may require access to specific data or device permissions (such as camera, microphone, photo library, or location) in order to function properly. If you decline to provide necessary data or revoke required permissions, the affected features may become unavailable or may only operate in a limited capacity. The Developer is not liable for any loss of functionality resulting from your decision to withhold permissions or data.
Under the GDPR, where consent is the legal basis for processing, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. However, withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal, and may result in reduced functionality as described above.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality.
- To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs.
- To display advertisements in free versions of the App.
- To communicate with you regarding support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security threats, and technical abuse.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and respond to lawful requests from law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or courts of competent jurisdiction.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose your information to third parties in the following circumstances:
- Legal Requirements: When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal proceedings, or enforceable governmental requests.
- Rights Protection: When necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Developer, users, or the public.
- Law Enforcement: In response to lawful data requests from law enforcement agencies, judicial authorities, or regulatory bodies. Where permitted by law, we will attempt to notify affected users of such requests.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy proceeding, your information may be transferred as part of the business assets. We will notify you of any such transfer.
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf, subject to confidentiality obligations and data processing agreements as required by applicable law (including GDPR Article 28).
6. Advertising and Watermarks
Some of our Apps offer a free version that includes advertisements and/or watermarks on output content. These are clearly presented and are not deceptive. You may remove ads and watermarks by purchasing the premium version or an in-app subscription. Purchasing premium features is entirely voluntary and is not required to use the core functionality of the App.
Ads are served by third-party ad networks. These networks may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver and measure the effectiveness of ads. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details:
- Google AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
To improve ad quality, fill rate, and user experience, we may adjust ad partners, mediation settings, ad frequency, ad placement strategy, and non-personalized/personalized ad delivery logic from time to time. These adjustments may be made through app updates and/or server-side configuration where technically feasible.
For clarity, this policy does not guarantee that every advertising-related change can always be completed without an app update. Some changes may still require a new app release due to platform limitations, SDK requirements, compliance obligations, or technical dependencies.
If an advertising change materially affects the categories of personal data collected, the purposes of processing, or the third-party recipients involved, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice and/or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
7. Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS 14.5 and later, the App will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes. You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking). If you deny tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your cross-app activity.
8. Data Storage and Security
Your data is primarily stored locally on your device. If the App uses iCloud synchronization (via CloudKit), your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's security and privacy practices.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its data. If you use an account-based feature, you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 13).
10. Third-Party Services and APIs
The App may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including but not limited to cloud AI providers, payment processors, analytics platforms, and advertising networks. These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
If a third-party service becomes unavailable, changes its terms, or ceases operation, the related features within the App may be modified or discontinued without prior notice. We are not liable for any disruption caused by third-party service changes.
11. AI-Powered Features
Some of our Apps include features powered by artificial intelligence or machine learning (for example, voice-based transaction recording in FIREprint). When you use these features:
11.1 Data Collected and Sent to Third-Party AI Services
The following categories of data may be sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing:
- Voice audio data: When using AI platforms that support real-time audio (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini), raw microphone audio is streamed to the AI service via a secure WebSocket connection for speech recognition and transaction parsing.
- Transcribed text: When using AI platforms that do not support real-time audio (such as Anthropic Claude), speech is first converted to text on-device using Apple's built-in speech recognition, and only the resulting text is sent to the AI service.
- Transaction context: Your expense and income category names are included in the request to help the AI accurately classify your transaction.
- Locale information: General region and date context (not precise location) is included to improve parsing accuracy.
11.2 Third-Party AI Service Providers
Depending on your configuration within the App, your data may be sent to one of the following third-party AI service providers:
- OpenAI (ChatGPT / GPT-4o) — OpenAI Privacy Policy
- Google (Gemini) — Google Privacy Policy
- Anthropic (Claude) — Anthropic Privacy Policy
- Custom API provider: If you configure a custom OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, your data is sent to that provider. You are responsible for reviewing that provider's privacy practices.
You choose which AI provider to use and provide your own API key. We do not select the provider on your behalf.
11.3 User Consent
The App requests your explicit consent before sending any data to a third-party AI service. You may decline, in which case the AI-powered feature will not be available. You may revoke your consent at any time in the App's settings (Settings → AI Configuration), after which consent will be requested again before any data is sent.
11.4 Data Retention and Security
- Data sent to AI services is used solely to generate a structured transaction record (amount, category, date) and is not stored by us beyond the processing session.
- Your API key is stored only in the device's secure Keychain and is never transmitted to our servers.
- All communication with AI services uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS).
11.5 Limitations
- AI-generated content (including but not limited to text suggestions, classifications, or analyses) is provided for reference only and does not constitute professional advice of any kind (financial, medical, legal, or otherwise).
- We do not use your personal data to train AI models.
12. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.
- Portability: Request a portable copy of your data.
- Opt-Out: Opt out of personalized advertising via your device settings.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw previously given consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided at the end of this policy. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
13. Account and Data Deletion
If the App offers account functionality, you may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the App's settings. Upon account deletion:
- All locally stored data will be erased from your device.
- All cloud-synced data (if applicable) will be permanently deleted from our servers and/or your iCloud account.
- This action is irreversible. We cannot recover deleted data.
If you are unable to access the deletion feature within the App, you may contact us directly to request account and data deletion.
14. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
15. International Data Transfers
If you are using the App from outside the region where our servers or third-party service providers are located, your information may be transferred across international borders. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We ensure that any data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
16. For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA)
If you are located in the EEA, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Consent: For personalized advertising and non-essential analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate Interest: For crash reporting, security, and App improvement.
- Contract: To provide the services you have requested.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
17. For Users in California (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to opt out of the "sale" of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or App features. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent again before applying changes that introduce new personal data processing activities or materially expand existing processing.
19. Disclaimer of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Developer shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to device compromise, network interception, or operating system vulnerabilities.
- The Developer is not responsible for the privacy practices or data handling of any third-party services integrated within the App.
- The App is provided on an "AS IS" basis with respect to data protection. While we implement reasonable safeguards, we make no warranty that our security measures will prevent every possible data breach.
